Anyone notice the absurd amount of animation recycling in the last 2 or so minutes? Even for an old anime that's terrible.

Good episode otherwise though :D

Yup, I didn't like that.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this error; about 9 minutes after the opening, when the Red Ribbon henchman got killed at the trap, General Blue's armband says "BULE" instead of "BLUE." ;)

Good episode. General Blue is stronger than I expected; stronger than Silver and White.

Bulma’s idea about Kuririn going on ahead because his head is bright... lol :D “I find that offensive.”
“Good that you’re so short!”
“Like you’re the one to talk!”
Too bad the dead soldiers weren’t bleeding.
Captain Blue seems to be both strong and smart. He perhaps would turn out as an interesting opponent.
Japanese jelly... like yeah, Goku.
Bulma’s panties... that was hilarious moment :D

Panties-san. XD
Bulma sometimes is annoying but I don't hate her, she's always involved in weird stuff.

So thats where those robots from the GBA games come from haha. These don't seem like your typical pirates. General blue seems pretty strong but then again so did silver at first I just hope he puts up more of a fight then silver and white did those two turned out to be pretty pathetic.

Pfft, I thought the same thing about Colonel Silver. Highly doubt it.

Silver didn't get electrocuted by an Eel and then choke it to death. I thought that was pretty impressive.

I was thinking it looked familiar, but it's been a while since I saw that form of Frieza so I didn't know where I thought I'd seen it from. I thought it was pretty cool.

Yeah these scenes were only in the uncut version. When dragon ball was being aired on toonami, these scenes were cut out. One of the many uncut scenes, including the nose bleed, roshi getting tiny to see bulma in the bathroom with her underwear, etc. Quite alot of perverseness in Dragonball, more so then even DBZ lol. The original Japanese version for this series even created more perverted like humor in its dialogue.

Can't blame them for censoring it, there is no damn way this would work in the US. The DVD's have these scenes though? If I buy this series I want it unedited.

Of course. The only way you can possibly get the cut dubbed version is if you bought the really old VHS tapes lol. Now a days everything is remastered and uncut.

General Blue seems to be a bit more clever then the other fodder the Red Ribbon Army is sending after Goku and company.

Yet again we see Kururin's unnecessary cowardice in the face of danger until he realizes that he shouldn't be afraid. Last time it was from seeing his own strength, this time from seeing his fellow student Goku make the jump with no problem. Not only that, but I liked the contrast between Goku, Bulma and Kururin brute forcing their problems away with Nyoi-bu and their training and Blue using his head, really shows the difference in thinking power.

Speaking of Blue, I enjoyed how they characterized him. He was both smart in deducting and finding the secret passage, something his men and Goku's group failed to even consider, as well as his fearlessness and badassery in the face of a massive electric eel. He is definitely a level ahead of the others, although it's not like we didn't get to see the conniving tricks of White or the raw strength and technique of Silver. So in the end he may end up being just as much of a joke as the others.

on my first watch that animation recycling almost killed the series for me, glad i went on though.

i really like how blue is shaping up to be an actually powerful red ribbon higher-up.

General Blue is interesting. He uses his smarts and intelligence in an attempt to outwit his opponents. His deductions and a certain level of cautiousness are noteworthy. It is quite unfortunate for him to see all these characteristics being a bit meek due to his egocentric attitude. He also seems to be decently strong, having crushed an electric eel while being electrocuted under an 800-100+ volt. He does have some potential to be a worthy opponent, but I wouldn't count my eggs yet.

You know, if I didn't know any better, I would have thought Bulma was trying to throw Krillin to his death down the enormous lava, with her constant repeated kicks to his small bald head. And speaking of Krillin, I noticed the lack of faith or confidence he has of his abilities. The only times he gets a grip on himself is when he witnesses Goku doing a seemingly impossible feat, or suddenly being conscious of his own skillset. Hopefully, soon, he grows to have more courage regarding himself.

And I am sure Goku or Krillin can take care of this X, the robot pirate. There is no need to run around endlessly.

That eel was horrifying. The entire cave was filled with traps and the entirety of the general's team was practically wiped out. To be fair, Bulma was being quite careless and almost got Krillin killed.

That first trap was amazing but what actually amazed me was General Blues intelligence. But poor eel is dead now. Blue has some muscles in his hand.

However the pirates base is very advanced for themselves. Specially that security robot or whatever it is. How did they become like this? Must be someone with the knowledge of science is helping them.

I love how the main group does not try to think while General Blue easily finds the switch its a really good contrast. The Red Ribbon army guys being impaled was really brutal. And General Blue choking the eel was cold as hell.

Idk why but I’m enjoying General Blue so much. Maybe it’s his Japanese VA or his actions but he is my favorite villain so far by a mild. And I like that robot’s design, pretty cool.

This arc has been a fun little adventure so far. I love the interactions between Goku, Bulma, and Krillin. All the jokes are really nice too and they are spread out evenly.

I wonder if General Blue will realize next episode that he’d be one-shot by Goku? Oh, and that robot is pretty interesting as well, maybe Blue will get caught in the crossfire from its defeat.
